How is Vetamorphus assessed?

There are no exams. Vetamorphus is assessed in collaboration with your supervisors and the course coordinator, and is based upon participation, involvement, presentation of materials learned, and completion of ministry tasks.

Is Vetamorphus additional to, or instead   of    other subjects?

Vetamorphus can be taken as an additional subject to normal school subjects. However, it is normally done instead of one year 11 or 12 subject, and the spares at school then compensate for the extra time spent doing Vetamorphus work.

Can I do Vetamorphus if I am not doing year 11 or 12?

Yes. Whilst Vetamorphus is geared to students of year 11 and 12 age, you could also do Vetamorphus if you left school early, are doing an apprenticeship, or enjoying a gap year.

How do I use the Certificate III towards my VCE?

If you are planning to use the Vetamorphus qualification towards your VCE you need to:

  1. Chat to your school V.E.T Coordinator / Guidance Officer and give them the info on the course.
  2. It is your responsibility to ensure that you are correctly enrolled at your school.
  3. ON COMPLETION OF THE COURSE, GIVE YOUR STATEMENT OF ATTAINMENT AND CERTIFICATES TO THE V.E.T COORDINATOR.

Do I have to have a group   of   students from my school or church to do Vetamorphus?

Students need to be part of a peer group as part of the Vetamorphus course. This is easier if there are a group of others from your school or church who also want to do it (if there isn't this is a good chance to rally the troups and encourage others to get involved). However, If you are going the program solo it is possible to use a current home group you are attending to facilitate some of the group discussion.

How much does it cost?

The Vetamorphus course costs $950. This is an all inclusive price that includes accommodation and meals at the four retreats , registration fees and all materials. Some churches provide subsidies for students who do the course. Ask yours if they will help you.
