XSite Pro Tutorials:
Designing a Subject Website for use on your
school's Intranet.
Inserting pictures:
Before inserting any pictures onto your website, you must
save it to a dedicated folder in your computer. Once
saved, it is easy to add the pictures/graphics by simply
clicking on the picture icon above .
- To copy a picture off the internet, simply click on it
with your mouse, right-click and choose "save as", then
choose a folder on your computer to save it into.
- If creating your own pictures using a drawing tool such
as PAINT (found in your Program folder under Accessories),
the best file type to save pictures in is .jpg or
.jpeg, but I think XSitePro does import any file type quite
easily! You will need to test and see.
- IMPORTANT: when naming a
file/picture, only use small letters (not capitals) and
have NO spaces.
Eg. My dog.jpg,
correct version is
mydog.jpg
or
my_dog.jpg
or my-dog.jpg.
- also, keep the picture sizes to website size, not
poster size as it will take up too much space on your page
and storage site.
HOW TO FIND WHERE YOU STORED YOUR
PICTURE?
After you selected the from the ribbon above, choose
the button below which states: Select from hard
Drive... Now find which folder you saved your
pictures in.

If the picture is too big, it is easy to resize it by
dragging the bottom right-hand corner of the picture to the
desired size. Make sure it fits inside the white page
border.
